Following the recent transfer of its general insurance division to Equity Group, Eastbourne-based Steel and Co Financial Services, owned by chief executive officer Chris Steel, continues to expand its agency services network.
The company has now acq
uired the Halifax branch agency for Midhurst in West Sussex from Chadney Bulgin, in addition to its exisitng agencies in Ferndown, Ringwood, Eastbourne Hampden Park, and its original agency in Albert Parade.
The company also continues to expand its financial Services and mortgage services, and has recently welcomed independent financial adviser Sarah Lawler to its investment and pension team.
Geoff Fillery, managing director, said, "We are pleased to welcome Sarah to our team in Eastbourne, as well as expanding our operation into West Sussex."

Jessica Gisby has recently moved to the Eastbourne office of Gaby Hardwicke Solicitors to set up a second private client team.
Having completed her training contract with the firm Jessica qualified as a solicitor 2007 and spent some time in the Bexhill office of the firm. She and her team have recently moved to the Eastbourne office to add to the existing team that is already in place and is run by Antony
Caulfield, who is both a solicitor and chartered tax adviser.
Jessica deals with all aspects of legal work that might be of importance to a private individual.
From the setting up of a will or trust, dealing with tax affairs, setting up of Lasting Powers of Attorney and also the administering of estates.
She specialises in the property related matters of life also dealing with equity release and transfers of equity.
Jessica, who lives locally, said "I very much look forward to continuing to assist my existing clients and to welcoming new ones over the coming months. Many aspects of the law have changed over the last year and it is an exciting and ever changing area to be working in."
