A NEW private hire car company was officially opened by MP Nigel Waterson on Tuesday.
Call-a-Cab Eastbourne Ltd, which boasts it has not introduced the 30p fuel surcharge recently implemented by some Eastbourne companies, will commence trading today (Friday).
The newly-formed company will provide a 24-hour service with a fleet of saloon, estate and executive cars, as well as a minibus and wheelchair accessible vehicles, with a combined experience of more than 40 years in the Hackney private hire trade.
Call-a-Cab aims to provide both Eastbourne's residents and visitors with a 'superior' and 'value for money' service.
A spokesperson for Call-a-Cab said, "Our friendly and helpful drivers have been specifically selected for their experience, reliability, vast knowledge of Eastbourne and the surrounding areas and their dedication to providing a high level of customer service.
"We have listened to what you the customer want and expect from our company and so we will be ensuring our drivers are fully licensed and insured, Criminal Records Bureau checked and smartly dressed.
"Our liveried vehicles will be maintained to a very high standard and regularly inspected by Eastbourne Borough Council."
