Ansvar has announced the appointment of Cynthia Oudin as its new underwriting manager.

Cynthia has been in insurance all of her working life, principally in Canada.

One of her first projects in her new position has been to implement a restructuring of the Eastbourne-based firm's underwriting set-up.

Mark Ingram, Ansvar's head of insurance operations, said, "The time was right to bring in additional expertise and experience to strengthen this key area of the business.

"I am confident that Cynthia will provide a fresh impetus to the continuing process of developing strong relationships with intermediaries and sound technical account management – whilst extending the training and development of our staff to make us even better equipped to support Ansvar's future growth plans."
