Heritage award for Chalvington Barns

A local building and conservation company is celebrating after winning a top award for the renovation and full restoration of the well known Town House in Hailsham.
Chalvington Barns secured the prize having completely transformed the old building and converted it into offices.
The Sussex Heritage Trust annual awards are much sought after in the county and the project in Market Street received glowing praise from the competition panel.
The company are no strangers to the prize giving having received a number Sussex Heritage Trust Awards in previous years.
The historic building is now the Chalvington Barns headquarters and director Geoff Watkins is delighted that the work has been recognised.
Geoff said, "This really was a labour of love. Everyone at Chalvington Barns has deep affection for the Town House and we're incredibly proud that craftsmen from within the company carried out all the restorative work that was necessary."
