The three goal victory over Bognor Regis Town places Borough just a point below Lewes at the top of Blue Square south, with Garry Wilson's men having played one game less.
The win, a result of goals from strikers Andy Atkin and Scott Ramsay see Borough continue their impressive league form of five wins from their last six games.
However the Borough manager is not getting carried away and insists that Lewes continue to be the front runners for automatic promotion.
He said, "The more points you've got, obviously you're the front runners.
"We're pretty relaxed about the whole thing to be honest with you. If we don't go up, we don't go up.
"We never set our stall up to go up this year. We set our stall out to just to do better than last year."
