Eastbourne suffered a Sussex Trophy final defeat to a tough Bognor Regis out-fit in awful conditions at Brighton and Hove Rugby Club on Sunday.
The West Sussex club beat Eastbourne 36-17, despite the Blue and Golds taking an early lead against the fierce wind.

A penalty try put Bognor ahead and scores from Paul Mitchell, Lee Balchin, Roy Sargeant and Billy Toone increased the lead.

Fly half Rob Parry's kicking was superb and helped his side make the most of the conditions. He added four conversions and a penalty.

Ali Coombe, James Coulthard and Joe Tobin crossed for Eastbourne.

Tony Welford said, "It was tough out their today. We went over early in the second half and we looked as though it could go our way. But it was not to be."
